Transitioning to Secondary School

We are here to support students in their transition to Grade 9 and throughout their high school years. We take extra care to ensure Grade 9 students feel welcomed, prepared and supported. This includes:

  • Grade 8 transition supports, including visits to feeder schools and open houses
  • welcome and orientation activities
  • academic and well-being supports
  • Grade 9s being the only students in the building on the first day of school, giving them an opportunity to meet their teachers and find their classes
